Day 1:
Arrive Leh - Arrive at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport Leh (3500m altitude), meet guide, transfer to hotel, complete rest day for acclimatization (mandatory to avoid altitude sickness), light walking only, drink plenty of water, avoid alcohol, evening orientation briefing about trek|
Day 2:
Leh Acclimatization - Morning visit Shanti Stupa for panoramic views, Leh Palace, afternoon short acclimatization walk to local market, visit Leh Mosque, evening rest, oxygen levels monitored|
Day 3:
Leh to Kargil (220km, 5-6 hours) - Drive via Magnetic Hill (defying gravity phenomenon), Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, Lamayuru Monastery (Moonland landscape), Fotu La Pass (4108m), overnight Kargil|
Day 4:
Kargil to Padum via Pensi La Pass (240km, 8-9 hours) - Cross Pensi La (4400m, gateway to Zanskar), views of Drang Drung Glacier, descend to Padum (Zanskar capital), check-in homestay|
Day 5:
Padum to Karsha Monastery - Visit Karsha Monastery (largest in Zanskar with 500 monks), Stongdey Monastery, explore Padum town, overnight|
Day 6:
Padum to Phugtal Trek Start - Drive to trek starting point, begin 6-hour trek through gorges to Phugtal village, overnight camping|
Day 7:
Phugtal Monastery Trek - Trek to spectacular Phugtal Monastery built into cliff cave accessible only by foot, return to Phugtal village, overnight camping|
Day 8:
Phugtal to Padum - Trek back to road, drive to Padum, visit local villages, interact with Zanskari people, overnight Padum|
Day 9:
Padum to Kargil - Return journey through Pensi La, overnight Kargil|
Day 10:
Kargil to Leh - Drive back to Leh via same route, evening departure preparation, overnight Leh|
Day 11:
Departure Leh - Morning flight out, tour ends
